Resolution from path difference rather than from an aperture: the throughput advantage every interferometer is born with.

Static by construction

Two fixed gratings record the whole interferogram at once. Nothing scans, drifts, or wears.

Prisms in each arm widen the accepted solid angle by two to three orders of magnitude.

Gratings in a Michelson since Connes (1958); field widening since 1963; spatial heterodyne spectroscopy since 1992; flown on WINDII and on MIGHTI aboard NASA's ICON. Every element has flown or been demonstrated.
